About

Pure Protect Bristol are Independent Protection Consultants. Our objective is to provide Independent & Impartial Protection advice to help our clients protect their assets, business, and, of course, their family and loved ones.

Meet With Us

An initial meeting lasting generally no more than an hour will enable you to get to know us, as well as help establish any concerns or worries you have regarding your protection needs.

To achieve this, we complete a detailed fact-find. This will form the basis of our meeting and subsequent recommendations. We can meet you at your home or you are always welcome to visit us at our office.

Existing protection policies will be taken into consideration. If a Critical Illness comparison is needed, for example, we will provide this free of charge. This will compare the product specification of an existing policy against that of new or updated policies.

You will be provided with a full report and subsequent recommendations once the research process is complete.

Our aim is to provide you with the protection advice that suits you and maintain a long term relationship that continues to provide security and peace of mind. In the event of a claim, we will work closely with the product provider to ensure a smooth process and, payment is made in a satisfactory and timely manner.

We do not want our clients having to deal with a potential claim on their own, during what will be a distressing and potentially life-changing period.

Treating our clients fairly with honesty, integrity, and transparency are the most important factors to us for a long term healthy relationship.

Once we have established a clear understanding of your requirements we will begin to research the available products from a range of providers.

Shaun Bond

I began working within financial services in 1990 as an Independent Financial Adviser. During this time, I worked with two national IFAs and a mortgage broker, experience which has given me the platform to concentrate and focus on providing expert protection advice.

I maintain a healthy relationship with clients that I have advised for many years. Regular contact and reviews are imperative for me to provide ongoing advice. The most satisfying aspect of my position is knowing my clients are well protected in the event of something unforeseen happening.

Outside of working, my main hobbies are Sport related. I enjoy playing Golf and have a keen interest in Football and Rugby. My favourite Golf courses are Kingsbarns in Scotland and Valderrama in Spain. I can highly recommend them for a Bucket list Golf trip.

My spare time however is usually spent walking my pet dog Eddie, who is an energetic 8 year old Wirehaired Hungarian Vizsla. Come rain or shine (and it’s usually rain) he still needs his walks. We have had Eddie since he was a puppy and is a big part of family life.

I have worked in the financial services industry for 30 years, my first job being at Clerical Medical & General, as it was then.  I have worked for many of the big Product Providers over the years including Eagle Star, Zurich, Standard Life and Aviva.  This was, firstly, in administration and as a Sales Consultant, advising Financial Advisers about the various products. I have also worked “on the other side of the fence” with Financial Advisers and dealing with clients directly.  I am fully FPC Qualified and have the R05 Protection Qualification.

Having worked in all areas of the industry including pensions and investments, it is protection that is my passion.  Ensuring that, if the very worst happened, our clients and their families are protected financially, gives me a real sense of pride in the work that Shaun and I do.

At home I am an avid Bristol City fan and an active member of the community in Portishead, being Co-Organiser of the Annual Carnival there. I have a very lively 8-year-old son called Alfie, who also keeps me on my toes but, relaxing for me is good food, good wine, preferably, with good music and in good company!
